Bear Makes Ninja (Shenanagrams London launch)

There are a number of awesome bands that have the knack for combining ear pounding riffs with wickedly catchy shared vocals. Bear Makes Ninja, an alt-rock three-piece from Sleaford, Lincolnshire, are one of them, and they're just about to launch their album 'Shenangrams' (recorded with Rocky O'Reilly (ASIWYFA, Axis Of, Oppenheimer)!

Their music is a mash up of influences neatly packaged into hugely refined, attention grabbing, ear twisters. They're explosive, they keep you guessing but at the same time it feels familiar.

We had an amazing time when they played at The Facemelter in October 2014, they smashed it at ArcTanGent and have played great shows withCleftAlpha Male Tea PartyAlright the CaptainAxesVasaMountains Under Oceans and many more. We love their old album 'Shouting At Bridges', so we know this will be a hootenanny!

"Riff-heavy experimental rock with a taste of You Slut! or And So I Watch You From Afar; at their most melodic they recall cult heros Reuben" - Prog

"The bar for song-writing here is set so high that even godzilla could limbo it." - Musical Mathematics

--------------
Memory of Elephants

Gloriously upbeat instrumental prog from Bristol, who create just the right balance between a testosterone-fuelled love of loudness and a restrained, intelligent melodic sensibility. For the full effect of their wall-of-sound exhilaration this is a band that must be heard in their natural setting, live on stage.

They've shared the stage with Melt-BananaTalonsNordic Giants, many more names you'll recognise, and have played all three ArcTanGents to date.

"So proficient that they seem intent on ripping up the notepad and constructing origami with the debris." - Bleeder Magazine

--------------
Lambhorn

A band we discovered at, you guessed it, ArcTanGent last year, but who have never played outside of Bristol yet! They're all over it now, and ready to bring their intricate instrumental mathemagic to The Facemelter, and we can't wait to hear their emotive riffs soaring over your heads.
