Man Made Origin

Man Made Origin was born in 2008 with the vision of creating a ground-breaking sound incorporating a diverse mix of styles on the con¬tinuum between progressive rock and extreme metal. The band’s 2011 release, False Consciousness, ambitiously accompanied by a book of short stories based on the concept of the album, was received enthusiastically by international critics, with Sea of Tranquillity (US) describing it as:

‘Varied and exciting progressive metal, dark and haunting with just the right amount of technicality, heaviness, and extreme nature.’ (4.5/5)

On the back of extensive live performances of the material from the record, playing with acts such as Man Must Die, Bleed from Within, Falloch and Ancient Ascendant, Man Made Origin be¬gan work on their third recording entitled “The Divine Soulless”.

With funding from Creative Scotland, the band teamed up with Scott McLean from atmospheric metal band Falloch (Candlelight Records) to produce the record. Working closely with Scott, months were spent carefully crafting every detail from individual guitar tones to the grand piano and cello incorporated into the arrangements. The final stage of the project took place with Magnus Lindberg of post-metal titans Cult of Luna (Indie Recordings) taking the helm of the mastering process.

Following the completion of the album, Man Made Origin signed with Contagion Records (UK) and released “The Divine Soulless” in February 2016 to positive international acclaim, with Terrorizer describing the album’s epic opener “Antioch” as a ‘masterpiece’ and Prog Magazine branding the record as:

‘Ambitious, sonically grand and impressive…The Divine Soulless is an opulent, engrossing album that is set to put Dundee on the prog metal map’

SHRINES

Featuring Samuel Loynes (of Voices/Akercocke) and Matt Adnett (Obscene Entity), Shrines is a long-awaited new UK-based collaboration set to deliver a powerful, pioneering and eclectic sound to 2015. Born from a raw beginning and raised to reach a panoramic scale of sound, Shrines adheres to a powerful and cinematic approach to music whilst delivering a form of the black and death-inspired sounds from which it has risen.

With songs that capture a wide array of narrative and emotion, from love and violence, to David Lynch’s exploration of evil in Twin Peaks, Shrines is a unique and unconfined exploration of nature. By using story-telling to deliver a snapshot of both human vice and endeavour, there is no stone left unturned. A sound set to lead the listener on a journey like no other.
Shrines released their debut self-titled full length in October 2015 on Apocalyptic Witchcraft Recordings (UK).

Other Eyes Wise

Other Eyes Wise was founded at the end of 2010, by Jonas Hellborg, Simon Jones and Craig Corcozza, and was initially a rock band. By the end of 2012 the band made some drastic changes to their sound, like going from 6 string guitars to 7 strings and baritones, going even heavier, while pushing for a strong groove and solid melodic presence.
They recorded their debut record in 2013 at the legendary SARM Studios (hosting the likes of Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, The Police, and many more) before signing a two album deal with WormHoleDeath records (IT) in early 2014, which propelled them back into the studio, this time at RealSound Studios in Parma, Italy, to record their second album, entitled “Chapters”.

Chapters was released worldwide in August 2015 and the band recently completed an 11 date tour of Eastern Europe.
