Jeremy Irons and the Ratgang Malibus are a psychedelic four-piece band from Eskilstuna, Sweden.

Originally formed around 2004, with a core line-up of Karl Apelmo (vocals, guitars) and Mikael Pettersson (guitars). They scored a demo, had some live gigs and quite a few line-up alterations. However, around 2005 they more or less disbanded, the fluid line-up situation and the various member’s attachments to other band projects taking its toll. However, JIRM resurfaced in 2007 with most of the previous members. EP was made and released in 2009 (Elefanta), and JIRM got in touch with Swedish label Transubstans Records, subsequently hitting the studio to record an LP. The end result was issued as Bloom in May 2011, to a generally positive reception. This album was followed by their sophomore Spirit Knife released in April 2014. Their music can be described as a throwback to 70s psychedelic krautrock with stoner influences.

Spirit Knife is, with their own worlds, the "deepest, darkest and most epic journey". Released 10 years after the original band formation, JIRM latest work, as enthusiastically reviewed by many, is a cosmic journey accompanied by the distinctive fashion of Karl's voice and howling guitars, flowing into a kaleidoscope of spaced out vibes.

"Envision Jeff Buckley jamming with Can, and you’ll have a fair gist of the fantastic voyage that awaits the armies of the Spirit Knife; an album that finds JIRM rekindling their time-traveling communion with vintage psychedelia and Krautrock, while expanding on the sonic palette revealed by the ensemble’s past full-lengths, Elefanta and Bloom." Hellbound.ca

"Their songs are a wonderful journey through a world of sound that has been indeed created by bands such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, but JIRM have created their own kingdom in this world" Soul Seller Magazine

"They sound so much larger than what you'd associate with a four piece group, enveloping and even overwhelming the listener just a bit" Ride With The Devil Music Blog

ENOS (UK)

Over the past 6 years, Enos have gained a reputation as a band to been seen and heard loud and live. A reputation that was cemented by the 2010 release of their first recording, Chapter One and backed up in 2012 with the release of All Too Human.

Enos’ music goes hand in hand with the comic they share their name with. Following the story of the eponymous chimpanzee the music switches from psychedelia, hard and solid riffing and relaxed passages to narrate the tale of Enos’ adventures.

Since the release of the band’s critically acclaimed second album All Too Human Enos have gone on to tour Europe and the UK, play several festivals, released a Live EP (The East Slope – Live EP released 2013), which previews 4 tracks from the hour long live DVD (Live at The East Slope released 2014) of the same show
“There is definitely a Pink Floyd atmosphere with Sludge/Stoner Metal overtones dealing with a time travelling space chimp.”

“ Enos do throw in the odd curveball from time to time, for example “Obscured” is an acoustic blues complete with slide flourishes by way of Dave Gilmour and “Up ‘n’ Down” is another acoustic workout that comes across like Jimmy Page trying his hand at some bluegrass.”
