GRIFTER. MORASS OF MOLASSES, BUTCHER IN THE FOG, EX PEOPLE, TREVOR'S HEAD, BEGGAR & STRAUSS
Our first fully loaded all day show at the Black Heart
GRIFTER:
Grifter are a hard rocking three piece from the South West of Britain...imagine Black Sabbath jamming on southern rock tunes with ZZ Top while AC/DC get the beers in!!! Since 2003 the band have been kicking ass round Britain and are now signed to Californian label Ripple Music.
MORASS OF MOLASSES
Riding high on the back of their newly released album 'These Paths We Tred' (HeviSike Records) we are super happy to have Reading's finest ; Morass of Molasses on board for this gig.
Like a thick stew, rich with blues, heavy on entry and mellow in aftertaste.
A recipe born of tradition, with many a familiar ingredient. Chunky, Hearty and satisfying.
BUTCHER IN THE FOG
Butcher in the Fog are a no nonsense heavy band from London, taking elements from metal, rock, punk and noise, sticking it together and getting on with it.
EX PEOPLE
Newly signed to New Heavy Sounds, and playing songs from their new album Bird, Ex People have been smashing it locally over the past year and will no doubt do the same on the 24th June. The album was recorded by Wayne Adams earlier this year at Bear Bites Horse Studio.
"Ex People are a genuine breath of fresh air to the doom genre" Heavy Planet
"Proof that... there's a healthy second wave brewing in the recent British doom resurgence" Ninehertz
TREVOR'S HEAD
If you don't know them by now, Trevor's Head are back with us again after tearing the roof off at our January gig at the Black Heart, they will be notching up another gig on the bedpost and showing why they are a breath of fresh air in a dehydrated London desert scene.
BEGGAR
Absoloutly stole the show at our Unicorn gig in April, they are back with their 2 guitar wall of sound and straight up nasty mean riffing. As the FB bio says: Smashing through the Earth's mantle on the back of an isotope slug. Do not fucking miss this band!
STRAUSS:
We played many shows with Strauss back in 2012 and we are more then happy to have them opening up the gig. A strong evening needs a strong opener and these guys are more then capable, they will be setting the table with big satisfying riffs and well crafted tunes.
