The Black Heart in assoc with ITB presents…
TOSELAND
Following on from the announcement of their November slot at Winterstorm Festival, Toseland have confirmed their first club shows since 2018. They are set to play 3 UK shows in September, deliberately selecting tiny venues to create an intimate atmosphere for their fans, in Leeds, Cannock and London.
Toseland have also announced that they will headline the live music event at the British MotoGP, on the main stage at Silverstone on Saturday 8th August. This is sure to be a special homecoming for frontman and double World Superbikes Champion James Toseland, a stage he last performed on in 2013 to a rapturous response.
Its been 8 years since the classic songs from their 2 critically acclaimed albums Renegade in 2013 and Cradle The Rage in 2016, have been played on the stages of the UK. Back then they toured regularly across the UK and Europe, with headline shows in increasingly large venues punctuated by support tours with the likes of Deep Purple, Black Stone Cherry, Skid Row and Theory.
Its been a long road back for James, his work with the band curtailed in 2018 by operations on the severely damaged right wrist that ended his racing career and the long period of recovery that followed meaning that he could not play the piano that is so vital to the band’s sound. In that time his TV career took over, and he can now be seen and heard as pundit and commentator for World Superbikes on TNT and HBO Max, travelling the world providing expert insight.
2024 saw James perform live acoustically on the An Evening With James Toseland tour, where new songs were aired and stories were shared. The response to these intimate events gave James the desire to get Toseland out and about again. The hunt for band members commenced, and great players and people were found.
So here we are in 2026. Plans are afoot for new music, watch this space for news on that, but for for now prepare yourselves for the whirlwind live experience that Toseland provide.
James Toseland – I am so happy to announce that I am going to be performing with the band again. Its been a long journey with multiple operations on my wrist, but I am now able to play again and can’t wait for the first show’.
