NICK OLIVIERI'S MONDO GENERATOR TOUR IS HEADING THIS WAY, BRACE YORUSELF!

Desertscene are thrilled to be bringing back the mighty Nick Oliveri with his Mondo Generator. Conceptualised in 1997 with his brothers in arms, Josh Homme, Brant Bjork and Rob Oswald. Nick Oliveri's Mondo Generator began it's full fledged career in 2004, as Nick left Queens Of The Stone Age and focused his efforts into his new hybrid creation. The Generator will be bringing their hard hitting, illicitly nasty, punk rock shenanigans to the intimate (and impeccably sounding) Black Heart in Camden on 23rd November. Eindhoven stoner warlords Komatsu will be joining the bill, to bring their mix of sludge metal goodness to the masses. Tickets won't last, so act quick!

We will have German beers on tap all through October, and special Oktoberfest beers so watch our instagram feed for October specials!

POWER BEER

Powerplant is a Saison from Barcelona brewery, Edge Brewing. A Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavour. The result is a hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable beer. 7.4% abv.

EL DIABLO

Summer Wine Brewery's flagship IPA, loaded with U.S hop varieties, dominated by the 'Citra' variety.. Big tropical flavours and aromas punctuate, mango, lychee and papaya fruits abound, with notes of resinous pine leading to a lasting bitterness. A devilishly good U.S West Coast inspired IPA.

CARNIVAL

From Magic Rock, a lustrous Golden Ale to remind you of sunny days and summer suppin; welcome to the Carnival! Heady aromas of sweet pine and tangerine invite you in while a light caramel body gets things started. The revelry rises with earthy pine and sweet summer citrus flavours carousing the palate, and culminates in a laid-back bitterness and refreshingly dry finish. There's a party in this glass and your tastebuds are invited!

MAUNA KEA

From Summer Wine Brewing Co. - Mauna Kea. A Hawaiian IPA with pineapple mango, coconut, lychee and passion fruit. A real tropical IPA for a real tropical London summer day. We think it works perfectly with Phil T's Vegan 'crab cakes' served with an Asian salad and hot and sour dressing, straight from the Black Heart kitchen.

USE YOUR ILLUSION

Illusion from Moor Brewery. Illusion is inspired by the beer style created in the States known as Imperial Black Ale, or Black IPA. This is brewed at a session strength of 4.5% abv, but retains the unique flavour profile. The special malt is sourced from Germany, and the hops American to create a beer of stunning depth and complexity. The hop aromas and flavours are intense, achieved through a major dose of dry-hopping. The result is a beer that wraps all the wonderful hop profiles of a pale ale inside a silky black exterior. It is truly an Illusion that deceives your eyes and dazzles your tastebuds.

ZODIAK

Omnipollo's new house IPA, brewed in Belgium from a blend of grains, untouched post formation and aspiringly hopped with Simco, Citra and Centennial. Has a light sweetness with a tropical fruit balance, and a pleasant bitterness. On tap today and it won't last long!

THE NEXT DAY BEER

Reparationsbajer from To Øl was the Gold Medal Winner at the Stockholm Beer and Whisky Festival. The day after your tour de force in the world of alcohol, where good manners have been thrown over the shoulder, the liver has been punished and the dance floor hasn't looked better since John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever, ones physical and mental state need to get in gear for another week of tedious paperwork. You need something to cleanse your tastebuds from the taste of the cheap Tequila. You need something to recover you safely and give you a renewed love and zest for life. In simple terms, you need a really good recovery beer (in Danish "Reparationsbajer") The problem is that there are few perfect recovery beers! Nauseous mass produced lagers are the last thing you want to think about after you have been making a few calls in the great white telephone. This is why To Øl for a long time has had the goal to develop a recipe for the perfect recovery beer. This has resulted in a lot of tough empirical field work combined with a great amount of brewing, the results are clear: the best way to remove you hangover is with a potent Pale Ale with powerful and aromatic American and New Zealand hops combined with a nice round, pleasant and well-balanced malt profile to massage the palate and reinforce the belief that one shall survive another day!

CANNONBALL

From Magic Rock, Cannonball. An India Pale Ale in the true tradition, high in alcohol and massively hopped to survive a sea voyage, let the flavour explode on your palate. Tropically fruity, resinous hops compete against a sweet malty backbone, while a rasping bitterness builds to a mouth puckering crescendo. Come in for a pint tonight!
