LINDY-FAY HELLA + GAAHL'S BLACK WINE + SVART PROMO NIGHT - 26TH SEPT

Thursday 26th September is set to be a huge night here at Our Black Heart, with not one but THREE amazing events happening on the very same night. Not only do we have the debut UK performance from LINDY-FAY HELLA’s solo career in the upstairs venue, we will also be joined by some very special guests in the downstairs bar as well. In an event we’ve dubbed BLACK WINE we welcome Kristian ‘Gaahl’ Espedal to our dark corner in a celebration of natural wine with a tasting session of some of the finest wines out there, had picked by the man himself. Tickets for this have now sold out but you can still come and drink at the bar regardless. Additionally we also play host to a promo night by the excellent SVART RECORDS, where special guests will be spinning tunes, including 2 album exclusives from Vesperith and The Deathtrip. Svart Records (Finland) are throwing a record party downstairs at The Black Heart in Camden, London on the 26th of September 2019 from 7.30pm. Spinning the black vinyl and selling records, Svart grand master Tomi Pulkki and Kvohst (The Deathtrip, Hexvessel, Grave Pleasures/Beastmilk) will be pre-playing forthcoming albums by The Deathtrip and Finnish female solo experimental Blackmetal artist Vesperith amongst others from the Svart Records back-catalogue (Oranssi Pazuzu, Jess & The Ancient Ones, Reverend Bizarre etc etc). In the ground floor bar we are delighted, nay, tickled fancy in fits of devilish delight as the most infamous rekord shoppe in all of the land CRYPT OF THE WIZARD rumble into our lair touting their latest venture, a mighty collaboration of nectar and elixir - “DRINK BEER, HAIL SATAN “- a Black Forest BIPA to satisfy even the thirstiest of demons. All with a backdrop of ghoulish tones as they spin the very greatest heavy metal and other sounds of terror and mystery on the decks deep into the dark night.

“In conspiracy with craftndraft.beer & Black Iris Brewery the Wizard hath conjurerated his own sweet elixir which shall hence forth be available ON TAP for libations at the Black Heart Camden... So please come join us as we celebrate our dark brew, and our dark lord simultaneously!

Whilst this is happening to tantalise your tongue downstairs, in the spirit of reflection, upstairs we simultaneously have a night to tantalise the ears and eyes as Chaos Theory bring us a evening of splendid awe in the form of dark doom strangitudes. CAMDEN ROCKS

The very next weekend after that, we welcome FOGFEST to our cosy home. DESERTFEST 2019

This year’s DESERTFEST LONDON lineup is now complete and stage times are out. It looks like one hell of a tasty treat! YOB AT THE BLACK HEART

Once again another monumental free show brings itself to The Black Heart, the Earth shattering YOB will rattle the grounds of Camden for a very special performance on November 15th.
YOB are undeniably one of the heaviest live bands to wrap your mind around. Their unique, complex and crushing take on doom makes them one of the most innovative and celebrated acts in the heavy music scene, the only way to describe a performance by YOB is all engulfing; a transcendent soundscape that hits the very core of your being. Support will come from London's very own tone-titans Poseidon.
We are honoured to be hosting them for an extremely intimate, albeit extremely loud, performance on Thursday November 15th. CROWBAR AT THE BLACK HEART

The Black Heart are beyond excited to be hosting a monumental, once in a life time show next week. NOLA sludge legends CROWBAR will be playing a FREE show at our venue on Sunday 23rd September. With a career spanning almost 30 years, Crowbar are not only masters of their craft but have set the standard for an entire genre of music.

Creators of some of the most thunderous riffs ever written, Crowbar were born from the very beginnings of the NOLA scene, with more comrades and musical projects throughout their iconic career than most could ever dream of. And despite an array of line-up changes over the last 30 years, Kirk and his crew have always managed to not only define, but seamlessly refresh, their unique sound - keeping things at an otherworldly level of heavy and repeatedly showing the young bucks how it’s truly done. 

Crowbar’s recent live performances have been met with purely rave reviews; with revellers hailing the latest set lists, atmosphere and musical line-up as some of the best of their career.
It’s no easy feat trying to picture these titanic warlords of sludge in a 170 cap venue… but we sure as hell can’t wait to witness it. They will be joined by London’s very own GRAVE LINES.
Just don’t forget to get down early - because it’s first come, first served… so yeah, we wouldn’t blame you for camping outside The Black Heart from the early hours.
